In the case of DMC catalyst alone it can be seen that the reaction rate decreased gradually with increased monomer addition. It was also found that the immobilized QAS on substrates still demonstrated the functions (Tiller et al., 2001). That is because the physical properties of the reaction mixture, such as low viscosity and the increased solubility for the reactants, could enhance the catalytic performance.
